The Everyman 635 Hard Top

When looking for a new boat I had a specific list of criteria formed from owning many boats, mainly aluminum, over the last 25 years.  I was looking at what the market had to offer in the 6-6.5m hardtop range.  Every boat I looked at fell short of this criteria in two, three or even more instances.

Then I came across the Everyman 635 H/T and apart from its instant aesthetic appeal I discovered the boat I had been looking for.  I can launch at nearly any tide at my local boat ramp due to the 15 degree deadrise and can retrieve from off the sand straight up onto the trailer single handed making beach launching a breeze.  A well built hull that is soft riding, dry and also a very stable platform at anchor.  A boat I could put on a single axle trailer unbraked, and still tow satisfactorily without having to upgrade my 4wd.  Add to this, bunks long enough to overnight in, a walk-thru transom, large duckboard and ladder for easy diving and an anchor locker big enough to hold 100m rope/chain for use with a windlass and most importantly heaps of fishing room.

Matched to a 150hp Optimax we are achieving 25mph at 3200rpm burning only 18 litres/hr, so proving an efficient hull design.

My 635 H/T feels like a much larger boat than it is and gives me confidence when the sea plays rough.  I am looking forward to a lot of comfortable sea hours in the coming years in this boat.
